TrueVoix maintains a strict zero-tolerance policy toward any content, behaviour, or activity that exploits, harms, or endangers children. We are fully committed to preventing Child Sexual Abuse and Exploitation (CSAE) in compliance with all applicable laws and platform policies.

1. About TrueVoix & Platform Scope

  • Platform purpose: A civic engagement platform connecting Nigerian citizens with elected representatives at Federal, Senatorial, and Local Government levels via polls, town halls, community discussions, and civic video uploads.
  • Minimum age: 18 years old.
  • Identity verification: All users must complete mandatory KYC verification using a government-issued National Identification Number (NIN) or Bank Verification Number (BVN), checked against NIMC databases, before platform access is granted.
  • Jurisdiction: TrueVoix operates under Nigerian law, including the Nigerian Data Protection Act 2023 (NDPA) and the Cybercrimes Act.

2. Prohibited Content & Behaviour

TrueVoix explicitly prohibits the following, with immediate account termination and law enforcement referral:

  • Child Sexual Abuse Material (CSAM): Any image, video, text, or content sexually exploiting or abusing a minor.
  • Child Sexual Abuse and Exploitation (CSAE): Any content, communication, or behaviour constituting CSAE.
  • Grooming: Any attempt to befriend, manipulate, or communicate with a minor for harmful or sexual intent.
  • Child trafficking: Content facilitating or contributing to the trafficking of minors.
  • Sexual content involving minors: Any sexually explicit or suggestive content involving anyone under 18.
  • Solicitation of minors: Requests for sexual content or contact from or involving minors.
  • Facilitation of access: Attempts to use the platform to gain unauthorised access to minors.

3. Child Protection Measures

  • Age verification: 18+ enforcement via NIN/BVN checks against NIMC databases prior to account activation.
  • Content moderation: Active monitoring and swift removal of user-generated content that violates our community guidelines.
  • In-app reporting: Visible Report buttons on all user-generated content for immediate flagging.
  • Account suspension & termination: Immediate permanent bans for accounts posting or facilitating harm against children.
  • Law enforcement cooperation: Full collaboration with the Nigeria Police Force, INTERPOL, and NAPTIP.
  • CSAM reporting: Immediate removal, permanent bans, and reporting of confirmed CSAM instances to law enforcement and the Internet Watch Foundation (IWF).
